Yesterday I saw in the spirit believers walking around with signet rings. They were given the power to overturn demonic forces but very few of them were actually using them.

Their heads were downcast, overcome with defeat and oppression but as they began to open their mouths and prophesy victory and tear down these forces of darkness, things began to shift. They were putting a seal on their words.

They replaced lies spoken over them with the truth. They identified strong principalities and powers over regions and brought them down by using the very tools God had given them to overcome.

It was a contagious event. As one began to speak out, others followed. There was a surge of positive declarations across borders and a great unity of declarations intensified to conquer battles that had been raging across governments for decades.

As we also begin to take our authority over the darkness we encounter, we will see a great and mighty move of the Spirit upon our regions and nations for Jesus.

Your order has the authority of The King. It’s a weighty responsibility but one that must be taken up.

Prophecy makes a way

Read Acts 10

Prophecy is so powerful! Are you operating in the gift of prophecy/words of knowledge?

Cornelius received just one word of knowledge from an angel regarding Simon (called Peter) and it completely made a way for the gospel to be preached and received.

God had also prepared Peter through a vision in advance to visit the gentiles and he also acted in obedience.

Because of the accuracy of these words, this large gathering of people (v.27), who heard Peter’s message, all experienced the Holy Spirit coming upon them (v.44).

Wow! What an incredible outpouring of the gift of the Holy Spirit (v.45). Not only that, they received water baptism too!(v.47-48).

But what if Cornelius and Peter had not obeyed?

God is looking for those who will obey His voice to prophecy and make a way for hearts to be opened by giving weight to the message.

Your prophetic word may just be the catalyst for the gospel to be received causing an outpouring of the Holy Spirit!

“Whatever he tells you, do it.”
John 2:5b (MSG)

The scales are tipping in your favour

This is a time of decision making. It’s a time where outcomes are being weighed up and results are in the balance.

There is anticipation and in some cases anxiety as waiting upon important decisions takes place.

God is saying to His people: “The scales are tipping in your favour, My favour is upon you. Expect things to go your way. Believe for the best outcome during the waiting”.

If you are in this place of uncertainty, trust that God has heard your prayer.

Relax and rest as He works on your behalf to bring about the best outcome for you who are working with Him.

Do it again

Mark 8:16-21 (MSG)

Meanwhile, the disciples were finding fault with each other because they had forgotten to bring bread. Jesus overheard and said, “Why are you fussing because you forgot bread? Don’t you see the point of all this? Don’t you get it at all? Remember the five loaves I broke for the five thousand? How many baskets of leftovers did you pick up?”
They said, “Twelve.”
“And the seven loaves for the four thousand—how many bags full of leftovers did you get?”
He said, “Do you still not get it?”

Isn’t it ironic that one minute the disciples are in the midst of amazing breakthrough and experiencing the most extreme of miracles, and then soon after that they find themselves in lack?

Oh, while it’s happening they can believe. They can see the bread being passed around and not ending, never running out. It just keeps going and feeds all those people. Not only that, there are leftovers!

Suddenly they find themselves in the same situation, however this time they just need to feed themselves. They forgot their lunch and somehow they don’t expect God will come through.

Did they forget what Jesus has just done? Twice? Or do they just not believe He will do it again? Clearly they were not thinking with a spiritual mind but a logical, humanistic one.

Jesus can do it again and will do it again! He may not do it exactly the same way, but have faith, start expecting for it again.

The fact that He did it once is a guarantee He can come through again. He wants to bring abundance again, He wants to heal again, He wants to break down bondages again.

So if you find yourself asking for a miracle He has done before: reflect, wait, expect and believe He will do it again!

You are a John the baptist

John 1:20-27 (NLT)

He came right out and said, “I am not the Messiah.”
“Well then, who are you?” they asked. “Are you Elijah?”
“No,” he replied.
“Are you the Prophet we are expecting?”
“Then who are you? We need an answer for those who sent us. What do you have to say about yourself?”
John replied in the words of the prophet Isaiah:
“I am a voice shouting in the wilderness,
‘Clear the way for the Lord’s coming!’”
Then the Pharisees who had been sent asked him, “If you aren’t the Messiah or Elijah or the Prophet, what right do you have to baptize?”
John told them, “I baptize with water, but right here in the crowd is someone you do not recognize. Though his ministry follows mine, I’m not even worthy to be his slave and untie the straps of his sandal.”

John the Baptist was a very humble man. He clarifies that he is NOT Christ but opening up the doors for His glory. This was the very reason he was born, his very existence and his heart’s desire.

We have been given a role similar to John the Baptist. Our job is to point people to Jesus Christ. We are to set the platform and make way for His coming.

But just how do we set the path for Jesus?
By obeying the voice of the Holy Spirit, God will use His people to show the world who He is, what He is like and His characteristics. He will show us glimpses of what He wants to do so we can help Him get things ready.

In our workplaces, schools and communities, we are being John the Baptists for God. He is setting up miracles in your life and He is using you to prepare the way.

Like John we are here to glorify the name of Jesus and prepare for His coming.

Do not be troubled

John 14:27 (NLT)

“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.

What a powerful message Jesus gives us before He leaves the people. He has just finished explaining and teaching lessons in preparation for His death.

But in one bold statement He says “Do not be troubled or afraid”. He knew in advance every situation we would encounter, every problem and every sorrow, just as He knew His disciples would face.

The world offers so many strategies for dealing with stress: meditation, massage, counsellors, shopping, coffee, television, ‘keep yourself busy’ or on the contrary ‘have some alone time’. But quickly we find no lasting satisfaction in all these things as Jesus was well aware of.

He makes a point of stating how the world will give us a counterfeit peace only.

One thing we can have as Christians that the world cannot offer, is the peace of the Holy Spirit. He left it for us when He left this earth so that no matter what we face we can be assured that it will all be ok, even if we cannot see a way out.

There might be a massive mountain in front of you but as you allow God into the situation, a feeling of relief, knowing that everything is going to be alright will envelop you.

Peace is such a precious gift, a glorious release of bottled up emotion and it is available to all who have the Holy Spirit inside them and to all those who are willing to call upon the name of Jesus Christ!

Your promise will come back to you!

Is this not the coolest story in the bible? It’s just so amazing to see what God will do with something so precious to our heart when we trust Him…

Exodus 2:1-9 NLT

About this time, a man and woman from the tribe of Levi got married. The woman became pregnant and gave birth to a son. She saw that he was a special baby and kept him hidden for three months. But when she could no longer hide him, she got a basket made of papyrus reeds and waterproofed it with tar and pitch. She put the baby in the basket and laid it among the reeds along the bank of the Nile River. The baby’s sister then stood at a distance, watching to see what would happen to him.

Soon Pharaoh’s daughter came down to bathe in the river, and her attendants walked along the riverbank. When the princess saw the basket among the reeds, she sent her maid to get it for her. When the princess opened it, she saw the baby. The little boy was crying, and she felt sorry for him. “This must be one of the Hebrew children,” she said.

Then the baby’s sister approached the princess. “Should I go and find one of the Hebrew women to nurse the baby for you?” she asked.
“Yes, do!” the princess replied. So the girl went and called the baby’s mother.
“Take this baby and nurse him for me,” the princess told the baby’s mother. “I will pay you for your help.” So the woman took her baby home and nursed him.

What is it that God has promised you? For this Hebrew woman it was her special baby. She laid down her beautiful boy, only to have him back again in the most divine of circumstances.

How creative is our God when working this one out?! The promise did not die when she gave it to God, in fact he was handed straight back into her arms.

You will also be required to lay down your promise to show God it is not an idol and not elevated above Him. Lay it down amongst the reeds. Lay it at the foot of the cross. Give it over to God and say, “even though it is so precious to me, I have carried it and nurtured it, it came from You, so I will be obedient to You, believing that You will give it back to me as You desire.”

AMAZING! The promise returned to her with an even greater blessing: She was paid to look after her own child! Not only does God plan to give you back your promise, but He intends to bless you abundantly through it. You will overflow and be better off than before!

So hand it over, watch it be raised up, and wait for the promise and supernatural blessings to follow.
