WEEKLY PROPHETIC MESSAGE: Beware of the Michal’s!

David had hit the high of all highs! He was pumped, elated and unashamedly proclaiming his victory in a public display of jubilant celebration!

‘So David and all the people of Israel brought up the Ark of the Lord with shouts of joy and the blowing of rams’ horns.’(2 Samuel 6:15 NLT)

David had every reason to triumphantly praise and thank God for the mighty blessing of having the ark back. The presence of God had come to the City of David and despite wearing only his priestly garment, he was not holding back.

But David was strongly rebuked and criticised by Michal (Saul’s daughter) for dancing before the Lord and she despised him. (See 2 Sam 6:16)

Don’t be surprised when your passionate worship and celebration dance stirs up the Michal’s around you! Those that want to steal your freedom to worship extravagantly will come knocking.

Not everyone will be joining in with you as this next victory breakthrough causes joy and thanksgiving to come bubbling out of you.

But, you just keep your eyes on Him, keep your praise flowing, your victory moves pumping, blow your horn, jump, clap, shout and dance as David did! When the glory hits you, you will dance like never before!

He is jealous for YOU

1 John 5:21 (NLT)
Dear children, keep away from anything that might take God’s place in your hearts.

It’s that simple. ANYTHING that might take His place is not for us.

This could be alcohol, shopping, video games, sex, food, TV, social media, possessions, money, relationships, kids, your image, your reputation, your title or even your work.

If anything is placed higher than God in our lives then He has commanded us to stay away from it.

How do you know if something is being elevated above Him?
Well, does it consume you? Are you thinking about it more than Him? Does it pull you away from prayer, worship and intimacy with your Father?

If you identify with any of these or God has revealed to you an area that He is displeased with, it’s easy to fix.

Repent, then honour Him by laying it down so He is number one again.

The Lord your God is a devouring fire; he is a jealous God.
Deuteronomy 4:24 (NLT)
