Here come the “dreamers”

Genesis 37:26‭-‬28 (NLT)
Judah said to his brothers, “What will we gain by killing our brother? We’d have to cover up the crime. Instead of hurting him, let’s sell him to those Ishmaelite traders. After all, he is our brother—our own flesh and blood!” And his brothers agreed. So when the Ishmaelites, who were Midianite traders, came by, Joseph’s brothers pulled him out of the cistern and sold him to them for twenty pieces of silver. And the traders took him to Egypt.

It was because of Joseph’s dreams that his brothers were jealous. The father’s favour on his life made them want to kill him.

But Judah, whose name means ‘praise’, was the one who saved his life.

Yes, PRAISE saved his life! Praise stopped the enemy taking him out.

So Joseph was sold, but this trip to Egypt with the traders actually made his dream come to pass.

PRAISE made way for the Dreamer!

Are you a dreamer? Has God put dreams, visions and plans on your heart?

Now is the time for the Dreamers to arise and it is praise that will go before you and make a way for your dreams to become a reality.

Search it out

Proverbs 25:2 (TPT)
God conceals the revelation of his word in the hiding place of his glory. But the honor of kings is revealed by how they thoroughly search out the deeper meaning of all that God says.

God is inviting us to search out what He wants to reveal to us. He longs to see our excited response to the secrets and revelations He gives us.

Go deeper today. Study the Word. Meditate on His wonderful promises.

As you do, your heart will be quickened and ready to receive all that He desires to show you.

As this passage points out, it truly is an honour to thoroughly search out the character and nature of God and get to know Him intimately.

Out with the old, in with the new

2 Kings 17:33-34 (NLT)
And though they worshiped the Lord , they continued to follow their own gods according to the religious customs of the nations from which they came. And this is still going on today. They continue to follow their former practices instead of truly worshiping the Lord and obeying the decrees, regulations, instructions, and commands he gave the descendants of Jacob, whose name he changed to Israel.

Have you been holding onto things from the past, things that were a part of your former days before you knew Him?

Do you still meddle in traditions and experiences that were once a part of your life that are contrary to the Word of God?

Don’t slip back into old habits and ways. Run from them! Allow God to open your mind to anything that needs to be done away with.

Embrace the new life in Christ! Truly worship the Lord wholeheartedly and follow His prompting.

Don’t give up

Luke 18:1,6‭-‬8 (NIV)
Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up
And the Lord said, “Listen to what the unjust judge says. And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?”

Jesus is giving us an example of persistent prayer through this widow.

He relates continual physical knocking to our prayer life by emphasizing the need to keep pressing into the spiritual realm.

Keep asking Him for that which He has promised you. Don’t give up praying. Don’t give up believing. Keep knocking like a the persistent widow.

Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
Mark 11:24 (NIV)

What are you known for?

Acts 4:13 NIV
When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus.

This is so cool! The people knew Peter and John had been with Jesus because of their courage to speak the gospel.

It was even more powerful because they didn’t even have a degree or title but were ‘ordinary’ men.

It had to be the work of Jesus in them! They had been in His presence. They were empowered in a supernatural way.

God is willing to use ordinary people like you and me to speak the truth. We don’t have to be anyone special or even qualified.

If we have been with Jesus as these men had, that is all He is looking for!

Are you a willing spirit?

Exodus 35:20‭-‬26 (MSG)
So everyone in the community of Israel left the presence of Moses. Then they came back, every one whose heart was roused, whose spirit was freely responsive, bringing offerings to God for building the Tent of Meeting, furnishing it for worship and making the holy vestments. They came, both men and women, all the willing spirits among them, offering brooches, earrings, rings, necklaces—anything made of gold—offering up their gold jewelry to God . And anyone who had blue, purple, and scarlet fabrics; fine linen; goats’ hair; tanned leather; and dolphin skins brought them. Everyone who wanted to offer up silver or bronze as a gift to God brought it. Everyone who had acacia wood that could be used in the work, brought it. All the women skilled at weaving brought their weavings of blue and purple and scarlet fabrics and their fine linens. And all the women who were gifted in spinning, spun the goats’ hair.

God is emphasizing the heart condition of these people giving to Him to build the temple.

They did not just give out of obligation because it was the right thing to do, but they had a revelation from their heart to bless the work of God.

They were willing, enthusiastic givers that gave not only the best of their jewellery, fine linens, wood, leather and other expensive merchandise, but they offered their talents as well.

They willingly contributed to seeing the Lord’s work underway.

God delights in us giving Him the best of our resources, giftings and talents. When we passionately pursue His work He will look after us.

John 15:16 (AMPC)
You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you and I have appointed you [I have planted you], that you might go and bear fruit and keep on bearing, and that your fruit may be lasting [that it may remain, abide], so that whatever you ask the Father in My Name [as presenting all that I AM], He may give it to you.

Remember this today: You are chosen, you are appointed, you are positioned, and you are called to what?…

Bear fruit.

As you go about bearing fruit, multiplying and producing a harvest wherever you go, He will give you what you ask in His name.

So be a fruit bearer. Be productive for the Lord and leave behind an orchard of juicy, ripe fruit.

What are you speaking?

Proverbs 15:4 (TPT)
When you speak healing words, you offer others fruit from the tree of life. But unhealthy, negative words do nothing but crush their hopes.

Your healing words bring life to others. Gently speaking faith filled remarks will encourage and bring confidence to those overcome by troubles.

Take notice of your words today and try to bring edification and positivity to those around you.

Ask the Holy Spirit to help you stay uplifting and empowering, bringing a fresh energy to your atmosphere.

Nothing is more appealing than speaking beautiful, life-giving words. For they release sweetness to our souls and inner healing to our spirits.
Proverbs 16:24 (TPT)
