The greatest Gift

As you give and receive gifts this Christmas RECEIVE HIM!

Receive Him as you prepare food. Receive Him as you listen to worship music. Receive Him as you watch children playing. Receive Him as you meditate on His birth.

Breathe Him in and receive fullness of life. Receive JOY, receive HEALTH, receive FAVOUR, receive LOVE.

And praise Him for all you’ve received!

May you be overwhelmed with His presence and consumed with His love this Christmas!

Now is your time to arise and shine!

Psalms 96:2‭-‬3 (TPT)
Don’t stop! Keep on singing! Make his name famous! Tell everyone every day how wonderful he is. Give them the good news of our great Savior. Take the message of his glory and miracles to every nation. Tell them about all the amazing things he has done.

We need to take every opportunity this Christmas to declare the wonderful news of Jesus.

There are a lot of people who don’t know the full meaning of Christmas and there’s no better time than now to share the GOOD NEWS!

Don’t hold back when opportunities arise.
People are open and ready. So bring in the harvest and see lives transformed.

Arise and shine for your light has come! You are the light this world is looking for!

Position yourself for the miracle

Matthew 2:9-10 (MSG)

“Instructed by the king, they set off. Then the star appeared again, the same star they had seen in the eastern skies. It led them on until it hovered over the place of the child. They could hardly contain themselves: They were in the right place! They had arrived at the right time!”

The Magi did not stumble upon the baby Jesus. It was a God ordained journey that was divinely orchestrated. All they did was position themselves by following God’s sign.

They were led by the star, which brought them right to the house in Bethlehem where Jesus was. No wonder they fell down and worshiped Him. Picture it: seeing your Messiah face to face.

Likewise, it was no coincidence when you found your Saviour. You might think you stumbled upon Him, but He also led you by His star. He purposely and deliberately met you. From the foundation of the world He chose you.

He is also leading you to your next miracle. Maybe it is your family salvation, a turnaround in your finances, the healing of your body or the mending of a relationship? He is setting you up for His glory, bringing all the pieces together.

So if you can hardly contain yourself, don’t manipulate, scheme or try to make it happen. ‘God says, “These things I plan won’t happen right away. Slowly, steadily, surely, the time approaches when the vision will be fulfilled. If it seems slow, do not despair. These things will surely come to pass. Just be patient! They will not be overdue a single day!” Habakkuk 2:3 (TLB)

If you are following God’s leading you are in the right place and you will arrive at precisely the right time just as the Magi did.

The heart of giving

How amazing does it feel to be generous! Generosity is contagious.

I love this time of year when we get to give to those around us and show the love of Jesus in extravagant ways!

But how about the ones who we don’t know or don’t know very well; the single mums, the homeless, the neighbours.

Pray and ask God to put people on your heart, to reveal those He has a special blessing for.

Be a magnet, and be drawn to want to give and bless. Look for opportunities wherever you go. God gave us the greatest gift ever given; His Son Jesus. So the least we can do is pour blessings and love upon others.

Go out of your way for someone and make them feel loved. Speak words of encouragement, offer to pray, open the door, help someone with their shopping and let that impatient car go in front of you.

Together let’s cultivate an atmosphere of giving and watch the love spread.

Some people are always greedy for more, but the godly love to give!
Proverbs 21:26 (NLT)

Keeping the joy

Christmas can be a challenging season for many, and most people I talk to feel very overwhelmed with events, parties, concerts, finalising reports, family gatherings, cooking and wrapping gifts.

With so much going on in our minds it’s so easy to forget the beauty of this season as we get carried away with ‘getting through’ everything.

God has not purposed for us to just survive and get by, but to embrace the true Spirit of this season: to embrace Him. He is Perfection, Glory, Majesty, Divinity. He is Saviour, Messiah and our best friend. And He came to us as a baby boy!

Luke 2:9‭-‬11 (NLT)
Suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared among them, and the radiance of the Lord’s glory surrounded them. They were terrified, but the angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I bring you good news that will bring great JOY to all people. The Savior—yes, the Messiah, the Lord—has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David!

So don’t get too busy for Him. But take a moment, take a breath to imagine Him as a baby, to worship Him and focus on the beauty of Christmas, the beauty of Christ Himself.
