When facing your Red Sea…help is here!

When you are hemmed in on all sides…What a timely message!

HIDDEN MANNA

Hebrews 11:29 NLT

‘It was by faith that the people of Israel went right through the Red Sea as though they were on dry ground. But when the Egyptians tried to follow, they were all drowned’.

Are you facing a Red Sea moment? Are you feeling hemmed in on every side, surrounded by the taunts of the enemy, deep water, mighty cliffs, huge waves and rushing winds?

The closeness, the sheer magnitude and ferociousness of such a situation can be overwhelming. Where do you go when you are blocked and restricted?

Don’t fear. This is a good place to be! You have nowhere to look but up. God now has the ability to do a mighty miracle through you.

As your faith rises up and the waves get closer God will part the sea right before your eyes. You won’t know how, but suddenly, what looked impossible will be transformed…

Your house is covered with the blood

This hiddenmanna repost message will bring you rest…

HIDDEN MANNA

Exodus 12:13, 21-23 (NIV)

‘The blood will be a sign for you on the houses where you are, and when I see the blood, I will pass over you. No destructive plague will touch you when I strike Egypt…Then Moses summoned all the elders of Israel and said to them, “Go at once and select the animals for your families and slaughter the Passover lamb. Take a bunch of hyssop, dip it into the blood in the basin and put some of the blood on the top and on both sides of the doorframe. None of you shall go out of the door of your house until morning. When the Lord goes through the land to strike down the Egyptians, he will see the blood on the top and sides of the doorframe and will pass over that doorway, and he will not permit the destroyer to enter your houses…

Time for reset

While praying I felt the Lord saying this is a time of “reset”. He’s saying to His people…”I’m in the business of setting things right for you”.

This is a time of resetting, balancing, making things right, correcting and settling things in their rightful place.

You will notice things coming into alignment with His will for your life. Things that are no longer required will be removed as He brings order. Changes will occur particularly where you invest your time, money and giftings.

While initially it may upset routine, your focus will become more direct and centered on what is important to God during this time.

Don’t despise His “reset”, rather embrace it. He will then position you with far greater authority and influence, bringing effectiveness and a deeper level of intimacy.

When life as you know it gets put on hold…

Have you ever experienced a season where for a matter of days, weeks, months or maybe even years, your life suddenly felt like it was on hold?

This happened to me a few months back with my husband’s collision with a car whilst riding his bike. Things that seemed important were no longer priority and an eternal perspective was heightened.

For many of you, your experience may have lingered for a lot longer than I encountered (while nursing Justin back to full health again), but whatever the case, it’s important to look at these events from God’s perspective.

I love that God gave us the book of Job to relate to when going through hardships, grief and disappointment. Job encountered the highest degree of trials on all fronts of his life but his reaction after loosing all his wealth, source of provision, shepherds, servants and even his children, is one to be admired.

Job stood up and tore his robe in grief. Then he shaved his head and fell to the ground to worship. He said, “I came naked from my mother’s womb, and I will be naked when I leave. The Lord gave me what I had, and the Lord has taken it away. Praise the name of the Lord!” In all of this, Job did not sin by blaming God. (Job 1:20‭-‬22 NLT)

Yes, after all that happened to him, He WORSHIPPED! He may have fell to the ground, but he WORSHIPPED and did not blame God.

This is such a powerful example and a great reminder that even in the midst of a storm, even when it seemed his life was on hold, forever changed, he still worshipped God!

Remaining at boiling point

Romans 12:11 (TPT)
Be enthusiastic to serve the Lord, keeping your passion toward him boiling hot! Radiate with the glow of the Holy Spirit and let him fill you with excitement as you serve him.

How do we keep our passion for Him boiling hot?

It is only through being with Him (in his presence) and filling ourselves up that we can serve with this enthusiasm and excitement.

If we try to ‘muster up’ the desire to serve Him we will only come up dry and lacking energy and joy.

But when we are constantly simmering with God we are ready for whatever the Holy Spirit may guide us to do or say at any moment.

This is the most adventurous and exciting life of all!

By living from a position of soaking, seeking and meditating on Him, we can’t help but be overflowing with exuberant joy as we passionately serve the King!

Prepare for the work

Jeremiah 1:18-19 (MSG)

“Stand at attention while I prepare you for your work.
I’m making you as impregnable as a castle,
Immovable as a steel post,
solid as a concrete block wall.
You’re a one-man defense system
against this culture,
Against Judah’s kings and princes,
against the priests and local leaders.
They’ll fight you, but they won’t
even scratch you.
I’ll back you up every inch of the way.”
God’s Decree.

Are you ready to begin the work that God is preparing you for? He has been strengthening your character with patience, stamina and passion.

He has also been putting together all the talents within you to equip you for this moment.

You will be hurled into a divine work but you will also need to remain solid, steadfast and unshakable through it.

You may come up against supernatural powers that dominate this culture, opposition in the high places of influence and spiritual forces in the heavenly realms. But you are empowered to conquer them and come out without even a scratch.

God promises that even with all of this opposition to the work, He will back you up. He is behind you all the way. And if God is for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8:31b NIV)

Let your promise be like Isaac

Galatians 4:23 (NLT)

“The son of the slave-wife was born in a human attempt to bring about the fulfilment of God’s promise. But the son of the freeborn wife was born as God’s own fulfilment of His promise.”

Sometimes we try to bring about God’s promises by our own human effort. Is this because we lack faith that He will bring it to pass? Or is it simply impatience?

As we begin to understand God’s Sovereignty over our situation we will enter into a deeper spiritual level.

Why settle for a portion of what God wants for us when we can have abundant, overflowing blessings?

So, how do we step into all God has intended for us? The first step is to make a heart decision to follow God’s ways and not our own.

We may think we have the answers and the ability but this will only produce an ‘Ishmael’. God has a much better plan: an Isaac. Human short cuts do not glorify the Lord.

Secondly, we must discover any area in our own heart that may be hindering God’s work. Is it lack of trust? Unforgiveness? Selfishness? Lust? Or disobedience? Once we seek the Holy Spirit to discover any blockage, we need to repent so it can be purged.

Thirdly, by fasting, prayer and meditation in God’s Word we gain greater clarity in the spirit. When a situation, a physical thing or a relationship becomes the dominant factor in our thoughts and actions it must go.

“Seek the kingdom of God above all else,” Matthew 6:33 NLT. Fasting from physical things allows God’s Hand to move as we purge ourselves of fleshly desires.

Lastly, don’t resist God’s discipline. Continue to allow Him to grow and change you. Seek the Spirit and obey His voice.

Thank you Lord for the character-building work You are bringing about. We expect our breakthrough to be like Isaac: God’s own fulfilment of His promise!

God will shut the mouths of those lions

Daniel 6:13-22 MSG

Then they said, “Daniel, one of the Jewish exiles, ignores you, O king, and defies your decree. Three times a day he prays.”
At this, the king was very upset and tried his best to get Daniel out of the fix he’d put him in. He worked at it the whole day long.
But then the conspirators were back: “Remember, O king, it’s the law of the Medes and Persians that the king’s decree can never be changed.”
The king caved in and ordered Daniel brought and thrown into the lions’ den. But he said to Daniel, “Your God, to whom you are so loyal, is going to get you out of this.”
A stone slab was placed over the opening of the den. The king sealed the cover with his signet ring and the signet rings of all his nobles, fixing Daniel’s fate.
The king then went back to his palace. He refused supper. He couldn’t sleep. He spent the night fasting.
At daybreak the king got up and hurried to the lions’ den. As he approached the den, he called out anxiously, “Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve so loyally, saved you from the lions?”
“O king, live forever!” said Daniel. “My God sent his angel, who closed the mouths of the lions so that they would not hurt me. I’ve been found innocent before God and also before you, O king. I’ve done nothing to harm you.”

These governors wanted any opportunity to get Daniel into trouble and came up with a good plan. They knew that he was loyal and unwavering in his faith toward God so he would surely not be found praying to anyone but his King. By breaking the decree he would be thrown into the lions’ den and mauled to death.

He really was that sure of his God that he faced death and did not succumb to their taunting and bow to another god.

These conspirators were like lions in Daniels life coming up against the assignment God had for him.

Lions will try and rip you to shreds with negativity as you really advance the kingdom of God and they will present themselves in many forms. They may bring fear, anxiety, religion, rules, distractions, ridicule or persecution. While their attempt is to bring you down, God will shut the mouths of the opposition in your life.

Don’t try and run from them or close them down yourself. Just pray and leave it to God, for he has sent an angel to shut the mouths of those lions. If you trust Him, you will be coming out without a scratch.

But the Lord stood at my side and gave me strength, so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it. And I was delivered from the lion’s mouth. The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and will bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom. To him be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
2 Timothy 4:17‭-‬18 NIV

It’s just what you learnt in the field

1 Samuel 17:34-37 NLT

But David persisted. “I have been taking care of my father’s sheep and goats,” he said. “When a lion or a bear comes to steal a lamb from the flock, I go after it with a club and rescue the lamb from its mouth. If the animal turns on me, I catch it by the jaw and club it to death. I have done this to both lions and bears, and I’ll do it to this pagan Philistine, too, for he has defied the armies of the living God! The Lord who rescued me from the claws of the lion and the bear will rescue me from this Philistine!”

David spent many years training for what was ahead for him. He had fought off lions and bears, even extracting the lambs from their mouths. Nothing was too big for him out in his field. He had a confidence and authority that went way beyond his size and natural abilities.

David also had a dependence on a God that was sure to deliver him every time without fail. So when it comes to his big moment to shine, his experience in his field along with his faith in his God sends the giant crashing down with a single stone.

God has been training you and preparing you in your field right for this moment. While you have been fighting off enemies and practising your skills, you never would have comprehended how this has equipped you for a time such as this. Your faith has been stretched but your confidence steadily growing.

The field or area you have been developing in is simply the lead up to a great victory that awaits you.

This is the big one. So gather together everything He has taught you in your training time and accurately fire your stone at the forehead of the big fella.
