When God’s presence meets with your obstruction

Joshua 3:11-16 (MSG)

Think of it—the Master of the entire earth is crossing the Jordan as you watch. Now take twelve men from the tribes of Israel, one man from each tribe. When the soles of the feet of the priests carrying the Chest of God, Master of all the earth, touch the Jordan’s water, the flow of water will be stopped—the water coming from upstream will pile up in a heap.”
And that’s what happened…The river went dry all the way down to the Arabah Sea (the Salt Sea). And the people crossed, facing Jericho.

The Israelites came across a great obstruction while trying to enter their promised land. They came face to face with the Jordan River.

While naturally speaking it would seem an impossible task to cross over, Joshua had clear instruction from God on the matter and spoke out the Lord’s command to his people.

The secret to their success in parting the Jordan (their obstacle), was the power of the presence of God as represented by the Chest of the Covenant.

When the presence of God met with their problem, instantly their road block was removed. The feet of those carrying God’s presence cleared the path for the victory.

Could it be that you are facing a seemingly impossible obstruction to get where you need to be?

When the presence of God infiltrates down to your Jordan River, what appears to be a large blockage will simply be swallowed up under the mighty power of God.

You are the vessel that carries His presence and He wants to use you to dry up the river you face. So go on, dip your feet in!
