Build an altar for sacrifice

Genesis 8:20-22 (NIV)

Then Noah built an altar to the Lord and, taking some of all the clean animals and clean birds, he sacrificed burnt offerings on it. The Lord smelled the pleasing aroma and said in his heart: ‘Never again will I curse the ground because of humans, even though every inclination of the human heart is evil from childhood. And never again will I destroy all living creatures, as I have done.

After all Noah had been through to survive the flood he maintains his act of worship by sacrificing some of the clean animals and birds to God.

Why was Noah’s sacrifice so pleasing to God to cause Him to declare that He will never again destroy all living creatures?

It was the condition of Noah’s heart that sent out a pleasing aroma to God. He was thankful and appreciative of all that God had done for him.

God desires for us to be expressing hearts of gratitude toward Him, pleasing aromas of worship and praise.

So give Him your best today!
