1 Kings 17:14-16 (NLT)
For this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: There will always be flour and olive oil left in your containers until the time when the Lord sends rain and the crops grow again!”
So she did as Elijah said, and she and Elijah and her family continued to eat for many days. There was always enough flour and olive oil left in the containers, just as the Lord had promised through Elijah.
This is God’s Word to us also: that even though we might be in a famine and facing hard times, there will always be enough!
All this woman had was a little olive oil and flour and it lasted her many days and she never went without. She was just preparing what she thought was her last meal when she gave out of her lack.
We mustn’t get too settled here in this place of just scraping by because the next promise God makes is concerning what’s about to come.
This is the moment of great harvest where what you planted in the hard times, will come forth as an abundance of provision. Watch the downpour of God’s blessings produce crops once again!
