Through thick and thin

Matthew 10:38-39 (MSG)

“If you don’t go all the way with me, through thick and thin, you don’t deserve me. If your first concern is to look after yourself, you’ll never find yourself. But if you forget about yourself and look to me, you’ll find both yourself and me.”

How do you forget about yourself especially in times of real trial and pain?

All the walls are caving in around you, the pressure is so intense and all you can focus on is the crazy circumstances.

You may feel you are the only one who has ever gone through what you are experiencing. But, there is One who has gone through everything you have. Not only did He go through it with you, He took it for you. Jesus has nailed it to the cross!

Whatever you are experiencing fix your eyes on Him. Only then can you begin to take your eyes of the problem. Cast your burdens upon the Lord and let go. Give your affections to Him and these momentary ailments will be but a grain in the silo.

Magnify the Lord and see Him as the all conquering God that he really is.
“My soul magnifies the Lord, And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Saviour.” Luke 1:46-47 (NKJV)
