When you encounter Jesus

Acts 26:12-16 (MSG)

“One day on my way to Damascus, armed as always with papers from the high priests authorizing my action, right in the middle of the day a blaze of light, light outshining the sun, poured out of the sky on me and my companions. Oh, King, it was so bright! We fell flat on our faces. Then I heard a voice in Hebrew: ‘Saul, Saul, why are you out to get me? Why do you insist on going against the grain?’

“I said, ‘Who are you, Master?’

“The voice answered, ‘I am Jesus, the One you’re hunting down like an animal. But now, up on your feet—I have a job for you. I’ve handpicked you to be a servant and witness to what’s happened today, and to what I am going to show you.

Paul’s experience with Jesus had completely transformed him. One moment he is persecuting Christians and the next he is turning people around him into believers!

There was no denying it was a dramatic encounter with the King that left him changed forever.

This is how quickly Jesus can transform those, who are yet to find Him, into divine relationship. In an instant, in the flash of a light we become a new creation.

When you have a supernatural experience like this, when you encounter Jesus, you will come across pretty crazy to most.

Festus’ response shows his unbelief by labelling him as insane (See v24). But Paul’s passion generated a different response in King Agrippa saying “keep this up much longer and you’ll make a Christian out of me!” v28

Your encounter with Jesus has the potential to change those around you. So believe that God will touch you in a supernatural way, transform you, set you on fire and release you into sharing the gospel and turning hearts toward the King of Kings.
