Stand your post

Isaiah 21:6-8 MSG

We have been given a very important assignment to be a watchman at the lookout and stand by our post.

The watchman would see the enemy coming in the distance and sound an alarm. God wants to reveal to us the plans and strategies that the enemy is plotting to warn us ahead of time.

But in order to receive these warnings we must be sticking to our post and that is to commit to prayer and to contend on behalf of the Lord.

This is the hour when we, as night watchmen, are critically vital.

You might have been sticking to your post and praying night after night to see things shift in your life. Don’t give up. Keep contending for your miracle.

The scripture says that “morning is coming”. That is Jesus our bright and Morning Star! Can you see Him on the horizon coming to answer your prayer?

You may not know how long this darkness of night will last but you can be sure of is: He is on the way. So stick to your post day after day and all through the night keeping watch, alert to the strategies of the enemy and your morning will arrive!

I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope. I wait for the Lord more than watchmen wait for the morning, more than watchmen wait for the morning. Psalm 130:5-6 (NIV)
