Exodus 3:2-4 NASB
‘The angel of the Lord appeared to him in a blazing fire from the midst of a bush; and he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, yet the bush was not consumed. So Moses said, “I must turn aside now and see this marvellous sight, why the bush is not burned up.” When the Lord saw that he turned aside to look, God called to him from the midst of the bush and said, “Moses, Moses!” And he said, “Here I am.”’
Right in front of Moses was one of the most profound miracles to occur in his lifetime. The Lord was clearly trying to get his attention in a very dramatic way.
The bush in front of him was on fire but it was not burning up. But it was not until God saw Moses turning aside to completely focus his attention on what God was doing, that He begins to speak to Moses in a very personal way.
Maybe God is trying to get your attention because He wants to speak with you. Maybe He is waiting for you to notice what He is doing in your life. Notice the way He is turning things around with your family relationships, the blessings that are coming your way financially and materially or the physical healing that has began. As you turn and look at what He is doing and marvel at His goodness He will call out to you as He did to Moses.
Instead of focusing on problems and lack, turn aside and look with gratitude at the miracle around you. It may not be quite as obvious as a burning bush, but He is revealing His miraculous power to you and as He does, let your reply be “Here I am!”
